Museum is Closed for New Year's Day
The Museum will be closed January 1st in celebration of New Year's Day. We will re-open on Wednesday, January 2nd at 10:00 a.m.   Happy New Year's to all!

World War I and America
Visit and interact with the museum’s temporary exhibit, “World War I and America”, sponsored by a grant received from the Library of America in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the National Endowment for the Humanities. April 6, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the United States’entrance into World War I. Patrons will have a chance to walk through a WWI trench, learn what life was like for the soldiers and how Owensboro’s Homefront helped the war effort. The exhibit has been extended through January 2019!

Historic Coal Mine Tour - A Day in the Life of a 1930's Rudy Coal Mine Miner!
Put on a coal mine helmet and join us on a trip through the Rudy Coal Mine, an historic Daviess County coal mine featuring the history of coal mining in the 19th Century, along with the 1930's time period. This tour is included with admission, but space is limited. Please sign up at our admissions desk when you check into the museum. Enjoy the tour!  
Time: 3:00PM-4:00PM
Location: Begins in our Gift Shop Area - Ends in the Coal Mine!

Free Brown Bag Lunch Concert!
Please join us in the museum's Mammoth Lobby for a free Brown Bag Lunch Concert on Wednesday, January 30th at 12:15 p.m. You'll be entertained with lively, fun music of Beethoven and Mozart, performed by Conner Bell, bassoonist, Kathleen Bell, Oboist and Kirsten Ahnell, clarinetist. These free concerts are presented for everyone's enjoyment and concert goers are encouraged to bring a luch, eat, listen and enjoy the 45-minute program!
