Voices of Elmwood™ is a celebration of history, designed to honor our region’s heritage and the lives of the many people buried at Owensboro’s Elmwood Cemetery.

This year’s edition of Voices of Elmwood™ will be paying a special tribute to the 80th Anniversary of the ending of World War II. Our stories will include those of the brave men and women who served in the military and the stories of people who served on the home front- all portrayed by local actors in period costumes.

Held at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery, Voices of Elmwood™ opens on September 18th and runs for a total of nine evenings in September and October, with tent shows on October 2-4 taking the place of the 6pm wagon ride.

  • Performances start at 6pm each night and last approximately 75 minutes.
  • Wagons leave every thirty minutes each evening and stop for each actor’s presentation, with wagon guides/tent show hosts providing additional historical information throughout the performances.
  • Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your wagon’s departure time or tent show performance.

Over seventy-five community volunteers help create Voices of Elmwood™ each year. Voices of Elmwood™ is hosted by Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery and Lead sponsor, Dahl and Groezinger, Inc.

📍 Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery is located at 1300 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, Kentucky, 42303. Parking is available on site.
