The weather forecast for the next several days is calling for a great deal of precipitation. We certainly need the rain but it could impact our Voices of Elmwood wagon ride performances. Please see below for our procedures:
IF THERE IS LIGHTNING – we will immediately send all wagons to our ticket area and have patrons shelter in their cars. We will automatically wait 30 minutes for the storm to pass. If no other lightning is spotted we will resume the wagon runs.
If the lightning storm is going to last for a prolonged period we will move the performances to the museum’s Ford Government Gallery. You will be contacted by text or email as to how we will proceed. We will also post the information on FACEBOOK.
IF THERE IS LIGHT TO MEDIUM RAIN…we will continue the wagon runs as usual. PLEASE bring umbrellas, blankets and other rain gear as you require (that can be used on a wagon.)
IF THE RAIN BECOMES TOO HEAVY to continue safely and there is NO LIGHTNING, we will move patrons to the tent in place at the cemetery. Patrons that choose not to stay due to heavy rain are welcome to attend one of the tent shows next week.
